Fribourg-based start-up Boukii is developing an innovative app that creates a direct digital link between sports schools, instructors and their customers. Supported since November 2021 by Fri Up, Boukii aims to simplify the booking of sports lessons and optimize the internal management of sports clubs.
Designed for PC, tablet and smartphone, the Boukii application is initially aimed at the ski industry. The digital solution offers three distinct user interfaces, the first of which is designed for ski schools. These can use Boukii to manage their course offerings and schedules, their teams of instructors, and all their administrative and promotional procedures.
The second interface is aimed at families. In just a few clicks, Boukii enables them to find and book the ideal course according to location, course type, date and time. Customers also create a sports profile including their ski level. In this way, the application can automatically suggest the courses and instructors best suited to their needs.
Boukii’s third interface enables instructors to optimize the preparation of their lessons. They have access to the data recorded by the participants, know in advance the level of their pupils and can therefore put together a virtually tailor-made ski day. This is Boukii’s main objective: to create a perfect match between the school, the instructor, the lesson and the skier.
The Boukii app is currently being tested in the resorts of Les Paccots (FR) and Villars-sur-Ollon (VD), among others, and should be commercially available in June 2022. Initially, the start-up aims to conquer the Swiss ski market and then expand to other club sports. To this end, it has the support of Fri Up, notably for the development of its digital solution, its commercial launch and access to new markets. It also benefits from financial support from the Seed Capital Fribourg foundation.
